Generitype of Frankenia Linnaeus (vide Hitchcock, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 147. 1929).

Current name: Frankenia laevis L. ( Frankeniaceae).

Note: Siddiqi (in Jafri & El-Gadi, Fl. Libya 64: 6. 1979) indicated both 457.1 and 457.2 (LINN) as types - this statement consequently did not make an effective choice of type. As the two sheets do not appear to be part of a single collection, Art. 9.15 does not apply.
