Generitype of Fucus Linnaeus (vide De Toni in Flora 74: 173. 1891).

Current name: Fucus vesiculosus L. ( Fucaceae).

Note: Woelkerling (in Rhodora 77: 16. 1975) indicated material in LINN as the type but did not distinguish between several sheets there associated with this name. As they are evidently not part of a single gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply.
