Type Locality: "Caffrorum regione"; locality of paralectotype now identified as South Africa, Northern Cape Prov., Colesburg Dist., Seekoei River (Grubb, 1999).

Distribution: Formerly South Africa, south of the Orange-Vaal Rivers.
Conservation: IUCN – Extinct.
