New food record. BRAZIL: Minas Gerais: Pitanguí, 2 exx., photo by Nicodemos Rosa, feeding on sap of undetermined tree (Fig. 1).

Note. The general aspect, particularly the color pattern (Fig. 1), agrees with the description of Gymnetis episcopalis Gory & Percheron, 1833, a synonym of Allorrhina menetriesi (Mannerheim, 1829), but this provisional identification must be corroborated by examination of additional specimens from the same area. This is the first food item mentioned for a species in this genus.
