Common name: Edward ’ s Long-tailed Giant Rat

Myanmar name:

Distribution: China, Vietnam and Northern Myanmar (recorded in Hukaung Valley WS).

Remarks: L. edwardsi is distributed in western and central China only, thus, the species in Myanmar could possibly be another cryptic species distributed throughout the southern China (Li et al. 2019). Further taxonomic identification for this species is needed in Myanmar.
