Collection information.

USA: Georgia: Clarke Co.: four individuals from four sites. Caught in flight trap from 9 March – 16 June 2020.

Distribution.

Eastern and central North America.

Saproxylic habits.

Larvae occur under the dry bark of dead hardwood trees (Stephan 1989), parasitizing the larvae of Chrysobothris Eschscholtz, 1829 ( Buprestidae) (Craighead 1920).

Conservation.

Significantly associated with old forests (predating 1938 and oak dominated) in highly forested landscapes (> 50 % forest) in the Piedmont (Traylor et al. 2023 a).
