USA: Georgia (new state record *): Clarke Co.: a single individual from one site. Caught in flight trap from 14–27 July 2020.

Eastern North America.

Saproxylic habits.

Emerged from sweetgum (Ulyshen and Hanula 2009 a) and loblolly pine dead for five years (Ulyshen and Hanula 2010); species of Aeletes Horn, 1873 are often found in association with rotting tree trunks and occasionally leaf litter (Kovarik and Caterino 2005).
