Eastern North America.
Saproxylic habits.
Emerged from fresh swamp white oak logs ( Quercus bicolor Willd.) (Powell et al. 2016, G. S. Powell in litt.), and from moderately decayed loblolly pine logs (Ulyshen et al. 2020; Traylor et al. 2023 c).
Conservation.
Significantly associated with forests in highly forested landscapes (> 50 % forest) in the Piedmont (Traylor et al. 2023 a).
