BIOL: Unknown. Stephen A. Marshall (DEBU) photographed an adult of this species far out in an intertidal area on the coast of Chile, along with Canacidae, almost all of which are exclusively intertidal in habitat preference. All records of C. callisceles are from coastal locations, where perhaps the larvae feed on operculate marine snails.
