Note 2: Retellia lacera is known from only six locations: four in Argentina (three in Buenos Aires, one in Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires), one in Brazil ( Rio de Janeiro), and one in Uruguay (Montevideo). Adults of R. lacera and R. claropunctata were collected together in December in a marsh 28 km south of Buenos Aires in the province of Buenos Aires (JA, unpublished). Adults of R. lacera are known to be on the wing in April, June, and December. To our knowledge, R. lacera was last collected in nature in 2006.
