Mesochorus (Mesochorus) crassimanus Holmgren, 1860 (Fig. 27)

Material examined. UKRAINE: Transcarpathian Region: 1 ♀, Rakhiv Distr., Svydovets, 2–3 km NW of Kvasy, 48.144694 N, 24.270809 E, 750 m, beech forest, sweeping, 23.vi.2013, leg. O. Varga (SIZK) .

Distribution. Europe; first record for Ukraine.

Taxonomical remark. This species is characterized by the swollen distal fore tarsomere (2.1–2.3 × longer than wide). It has temple strongly narrowed behind eye; distance between lateral ocellus and eye 0.9–1.0 × ocellar diameter; ovipositor sheath 0.8–0.9 × as long as hind metatarsus. Hind tibia cream-yellow, basally and in apical 0.1 infuscate; pterostigma pale ochreous. Mesochorus crassimanus was wrongly synonymized with Mesochorus globulator (Thunberg, 1822) by Roman (1912), but is a different species (Horstmann 2006: 1459).
