Mesochorus (Mesochorus) pallipes Brischke, 1880 (Fig. 31)

Material examined. UKRAINE: Transcarpathian Region: 1 ♀, 6.5 km N of Mala Ugolka, 48.153958°N, 23.370084°E, 750 m, beech forest, Malaise trap 4, 6.viii–3.ix.2015 ; 1 ♀, idem, Malaise trap 5, 13.vi–8.vii.2015; 1 ♀, idem, 8.vii–6.viii.2015, leg. O. Varga (SIZK) .

Distribution. Europe; first record for Ukraine.

Taxonomical remark. The short description given by Schwenke (1999: 86) is misleading. Horstmann (2006: 1473– 1476) gave a detailed description of this species. The females resemble M. semirufus Holmgren, 1860, but differ by the reddish or brownish face; very fine and scattered punctures on ventral mesopleuron and partly reddishbrown suffusion on mesopleuron.
