Local distribution and occurrence: Kuwait Bay (Al-Aushairij, Al-Salam beach), Al-Messilah beach, Masfat Al-Ahmadi, Ras Al-Zour, Al-Khiran, Al-Nuwaiseeb, Failaka Island; frequent (29%).

Habitat: Intertidal and subtidal zones; sand, shells, pebble, rocks, Sargassum spp. and other macroalgae, seagrass, and sponges.
