Local distribution and occurrence: Khor Al-Sabiyah (Al-Shumaima), Ras Al-Zour, Al-Khiran, Al-Nuwaiseeb, Failaka Island, Auha Island, Kubbar Island; frequent (21%).

Habitat: Intertidal and subtidal zones; muddy sand, sand, rocks, shells, sponges, seagrass, Sargassum spp., rocks with macroalgae, tubes of blue coral-worm Spirobranchus sinuspersicus, and ropes.
