Epeolus formosus Yasumatsu, 1938: 225–226, ♀ (holotype: ♀, Korea, Keijo (Seoul); KUFJ) – probably lost (T. Mita (Kyushu University, Japan) personal communication).

Remarks. Without a type, this name must be considered a nomen dubium given the impossibility to conclude on its identity based only on the description.
