Maladera opaciventris: Kim & Lee 1997: 129; Ahrens 2006b: 237. Maladera nitidiceps (misapplication): Stebnicka 1980: 258. Maladera coreana Kim & Kim, 2003b: 83; new synonymy.

Type material examined. Syntypes: 1 ɗ "Seoul Korea / Autoserica opaciventris Type ɗ Mos." (ZMHB), 1 Ψ "Seoul Korea / Autoserica opaciventris Type Ψ Mos." (ZMHB), 7 ɗɗ, 3 ΨΨ "Seoul Korea " (ZMHB).

Additional material examined. 1 specimen (ɗ) "Seoul Korea / Collectio Coleopterorum Johan Albert Hultgreen / Serica …[illegible] sp. n. / 1." (MZLU).

Remarks. The male copulatory organ of Maladera coreana figured by Kim & Kim (2003b) is virtually identical in shape with the male syntype of Eumaladera opaciventris . This species was erroneously treated as ' Maladera nitidiceps Nomura, 1967 ' by Stebnicka (1980).
