Saphonecrus symbioticus Melika & Schwéger, 2015

Saphonecrus symbioticus Melika & Schwéger in Scwhéger et al. (2015b) . Zootaxa 4054 (1): 51. Type material: PHMBL (holotype), paratypes in PHMBL and USNM according to Schwéger et al. (2015b).

Material examined (120♂ & 66♀). Newly reared material deposited in UB with the following data: KOR: 9, Bo- ryeong Beach (South Korea), Ex. sexual galls of Andricus hakonensis, Q. mongolica, (17.iii.2018) iv.2018, Roca- Cusachs leg.

Distribution. Japan (Hokkaidô island) and Far Eastern Russia (Primorskij Kraj) (Schwéger et al. 2015a). First record of this species for South Korea (this paper).

Biology. Reared from asexual galls of Andricus hakonensis on Quercus dentata and Q. mongolica Fisch. ex Ledeb. (= Q. crispula Blume) (Schwéger et al. 2015b). The new material included in this paper was reared from sexual galls of A. hakonensis on Q. mongolica .
