Distribution. Papua New Guinea (Nieves-Aldrey & Butterill 2014: 225, 229).

Remarks. Schwéger et al. (2015b) established the new combination indirectly after synonymizing the monospecific genus Lithonecrus with Lithosaphonecrus .

Biology. Reared from bud petiole and leaf galls on Lithocarpus celebicus (Miq.) Rehder (Nieves-Aldrey & Butterill 2014) . The gall inducers have yet to be confirmed.
