Specimen data: “San Fdo. | 22/2/22 ” [Handwritten (by Lamont)]. “Lamont | Collection | 1950-16” [Printed] with label with “ Type ” [Handwritten in red ink] glued to it. “ Claphe similavis Kaye ” [Handwritten Lamont cabinet label].

Remarks: This specimen collected at San Fernando, Trinidad, by Sir N. Lamont on 22nd February 1922 is unambiguously the holotype. It is illustrated in colour in Pl. XLV: fig. 12 (Kaye 1925, Kaye & Lamont 1927).
