Specimen data: “Palmiste | 17|1|22” [Handwritten (by Lamont)]. “ Type | H.T.” [Round, red bordered label]. “Lamont | Collection | 1950-16” [Printed] and another label “ Type ” [Handwritten in red ink] glued to it. “ Sylepta seminigralis Kaye ” [Handwritten Lamont cabinet label].
Remarks: The holotype was collected at Palmiste, Trinidad, 17 January 1922, by Sir N. Lamont. The specimen is illustrated in colour in Pl. XLV: fig. 18 (Kaye 1925, Kaye & Lamont 1927).
