Gerridae

Gerridae is the second richest family of semiaquatic bugs in Argentina, with 18 described species in 11 genera (Coscarón 2017). Estévez et al. (2003) previously reported two species from INR, of which one was not collected during this study: Neogerris lubricus (White, 1879) . During this study, we collected nine species from INR, including two new country records for Argentina: Neogerris celeris (Drake & Harris) and Ovatametra obesa Kenaga. Brachymetra furva Drake, 1957 and Limnogonus aduncus aduncus Drake & Harris, 1933 are herein first recorded from Corrientes Province.
