Material examined. San Ignacio RS: 15 ♂, 4 ♀, Camping Monterrey, Aguará pedestrian path, long walkway, marshes, 27°52’14.58’’S, 56°52’59.76’’W, 18.xi.2018.
General distribution. Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina (Moreira et al. 2011b; Molano-Rendón et al. 2018).
Habitat. This subspecies has been found in bogs, pools, ponds, lagoons, rivers and fast-flowing streams (Hungerford 1954; Mazzucconi 1999; Melo & Nieser 2004; Molano-Rendón et al. 2018; Pacheco-Chaves et al. 2018; Rodrigues et al. 2021b). It has also been recorded from salt pools in Peru (Hungerford 1954).
At the INR, R. minutus flavidus was collected from the shaded margins of marshes with dense floating and emergent vegetation.
Remarks. This is the first record of R. minutus flavidus from INR. This species was previously recorded from Corrientes Province by Mazzucconi (1999), López Ruf et al. (2003), and Mazzucconi et al. (2009).
