Atropacarus (Hoplophorella) vitrinus (Berlese, 1913)

Distribution: Semi-cosmopolitan.

Records in Ecuador: Pichincha (4 km E Santo Domingo) , Zamora Chinchipe (Podocarpus National Park- Bombuscaro), Esmeraldas (at road E10, 40 km SE from San Lorenzo city) and Pastaza (Puyo).

Habitat: Rain forest litter. Litter fermentation layer. Natural ecosystem, leaf litter mixed with moss from the deciduous forest. Urban ecosystem, town center, near sewage, under a deciduous tree.
