Diagnosis. The appearance of this species is similar to Nandicius kuankuoshuiensis Wang, Mi, Irfan & Peng, 2019, but can be easily differentiated by the wider embolus, the narrower posterior lobe of the tegulum (PL), the hooked RTA, the presence of a middle septum, and the laterally pointed pockets of the epigynum (Figs 155–161, 163–165; vs. embolus thin, PL wide, RTA finger-shaped, the epigynum lacking a septum and with two pockets pointing to the middle in N. kuankuoshuiensis, see Wang et al. 2019: 117, figs 1B–D, 2A–B).
Description. Male. Habitus as in Figs 139, 140, 143–145. Measurements: carapace 1.47 long, 1.14 wide, abdomen 1.94 long, 1.02 wide; eye measurements: AME 0.31, ALE 0.17, PME 0.05, PLE 0.15; leg measurements: Ⅰ 2.83 (0.83, 0.47, 0.69, 0.43, 0.41), II 2.15 (0.68, 0.30, 0.48, 0.32, 0.37), III 2.29 (0.68, 0.30, 0.47, 0.39, 0.45), IV 2.73 (0.84, 0.34, 0.62, 0.54, 0.39); leg formula 1432. Carapace black except middle and edge orange, covered with sparse yellow scales (Figs 144, 145). Chelicerae brown, with two promarginal and one retromarginal teeth. Abdomen with fishbone-like marking, middle and edge covered with white scales (Figs 144, 145). Legs orange, leg I darker than others (Figs 139, 140, 143).
Palp (154–156, 161–163): embolus wide and dagger-like in ventral view; RTA thin and hook-shaped; cymbial apophysis round, between RTA and dorsal tegular apophysis (DTA).
Female (Figs 141, 142, 146, 147): See Hu (2001: 387) for description.
Natural history. Foliage dwellers (Fig. 9).
Distribution. China (Xizang) (Fig. 1).
Remarks. The female allotype specimen of Pancorius armatus Jastrzębski, 2011 (later transferred to Yaginumaella by Wang et al. 2024) was misidentified; it is not paired with the male holotype of Pancorius armatus, but should be the female of Nandicius gyirongensis (Hu, 2001) comb. nov. based on morphological features (also see comment in Wang et al. 2024).
