Gongrocnemis (Melanocnemis) hilaris (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1895)

Fig. 29E, F; 30C

Distribution: Argentina: Misiones; Bolivia: Potosí, Santa Cruz; Brazil: Mato Grosso, Paraná.

New record for the Paraná State.

Comments: Field observations suggest that this is the less frequent species among those we recorded in the subfamily, since they were rarely found. Individuals extraordinarily camouflage themselves on tree trunks.

Bioacoustics: Sound not recorded.
