Diagnosis. Extermally it is similar to T. discrepans . In the genitalia the tegumen is narrow, relatively short (shorter than that of subsp. discrepans); valva without a setose hump near clavus area (a setose hump present in subsp. discrepans); ampullae relatively narrow and rounded at tips (in subsp. discrepans broader and more pointed at tips); juxta narrower than that of subsp. discrepans; coecum of phallus short, broad, triangular (in subsp. discrepans longer and narrower); phallus basally at ventral side with hump (straight in subsp. discrepans), and phallus less curved compared with that of subsp. discrepans . The female genitalia has not been known before. Ovipositor broad, rounded, setose; posterior apophyses as long as ovipositor; anterior apophyses slightly shorter than posterior apophyses; 8th abdominal segment separate from 7th segment; 8th abdominal segment narrow, 5 times wider than long; ostium round, positioned anteriorly on 8th abdominal segment; ostium round, positioned at anterior end of 8th abdominal segment; antrum tapered slightly throughout, projected slightly to the left; ductus bursae long and narrow, 2.5 times as long as corpus bursae; corpus bursae ovoid, with cross-shaped signum.
Description. Adults (Fig. 9, 10). Wingspan: 9.5– 12 mm. Head, thorax, and ground colour of forewing light brown; costa-medial and area outward and to tornus black and brown; antemedial line invisible; postmedial line beige, almost straight; subterminal line broad, black, waved; terminal line marked by black interveinial dots; fringe black. Tegumen narrow, relatively short (much shorter than that of ssp. discrepans); vinculum, and saccus equally narrow, the latter V-shaped; valvae broadest medially, asymmetrical, right valva shorter; valva without a setose hump near clavus area (present in ssp. discrepans); valva with small subbasal process, positioned next to junction of tegumen and vinculum; ampullae relatively narrow and rounded at tips (in ssp. discrepans broader and more pointed at tips); digitus heavily sclerotised, rounded; juxta narrower than that of subsp. discrepans; coecum of phallus short, broad, triangular (in ssp. discrepans longer and narrower); phallus basally at ventral side with hump (straight in ssp. discrepans), phallus less curved compared with that of subsp. discrepans; vesica unarrmed.
Female genitalia (Fig. 23). Previously unknown. Ovipositor broad, rounded, setose; posterior apophyses as long as ovipositor; anterior apophyses slightly shorter than posterior apophyses; 8th abdominal segments separated from 7th segment; 8th abdominal segment narrow, 5 times wider than long laterally; ostium round, positioned at anterior end of 8th abdominal segment; antrum tapers slightly throughout, projects slightly to left; ductus bursae long and narrow, 2½ times longer than corpus bursae; corpus bursae ovoid, with cross-shaped signum.
Bionomics. The biotope is dominated mainly by broad-leaf trees, shrubs and many herbaceous plants, close to a river. All specimens were collected at light in mid September. The early stages are unknown.
