Also reported as: Myrmecophila ochracea Fischer, 1853 (Novak 1888), M. acervorum (Panzer, 1799) [partim] (e.g. Us 1961).

Distribution in Croatia: Known only from Split, probably more widely distributed but overlooked due to the lack of research on this family.

Distribution in Europe: Widespread in the Northeastern Mediterranean, presently known from France (mainland, Corsica), Italy (mainland), Croatia (coast) and Greece (Crete, Samos, Thessaloniki region) (Braud et al. 2016).
