Distribution in Croatia: According to Karaman et al. (2011), recorded in all regions of Croatia. In the past sometimes wrongly identified as Troglophilus brevicauda Chopard, 1934 (records north of Plitvice Lakes: Us 1970).

Distribution in Europe: Central Europe south and east of the Alps and Balkan Peninsula, southern border of its distribution in Greece (Willemse et al. 2016).
