12. Myrmecophilus acervorum (Panzer, 1799)
Several authors cited this species for Dalmatia (Saussure 1877, Pungur 1891), but no faunistic records exist. Considering the known distribution of M. acervorum in Europe (Hochkirch et al. 2016), its presence in Croatia is likely, especially in the northeastern part of the country (Stalling, pers. comm.). However, we omit it from the checklist until reliable faunistic records are provided.
