Distribution in Croatia: Widely distributed in the Mediterranean part and the Dinaric Alps, less common in the Pannonian region.

Distribution in Europe: From Southeastern France in the west to South Ukraine and Anatolia (Turkey) in the east, including Mediterranean islands such as Corsica, Crete and Corfu (Hochkirch et al. 2016).
