Also recorded as: Conocephalus dilatatus Ramme, 1951 (Ramme 1951) .

Distribution in Croatia: Recorded in all regions except Kvarner area, although found on Cres Isl. (Krauss 1879). Distribution scattered, but generally more common than C. dorsalis .

Distribution in Europe: Southernmost border in Southern Spain and Portugal, Sardinia, Sicily, Crete and Cyprus, to the north reaching England, the Netherlands and Northern Germany, and Eastern European Russia to the east (Hochkirch et al. 2016).
