6. Miramella alpina Kollar, 1833

After the examination of specimens collected by Padewieth in the Dinaric Alps near Senj (deposited in Croatian

Natural History Museum) and published as M. alpina (Padewieth 1900, cited in Us 1967), we confirm they belong to M. irena, described in 1921. It is highly unlikely that M. alpina, a true alpine species, is present in Croatia, the closest populations inhabiting Westernmost Hungary and Austrian Alps.
