Etymology. Latin adjective occidentalis = western, due to its distribution in Western Australia.
Diagnosis. Male palpal femur with hook-like apophysis (Figs 46, 48), embolus not pointed, wider than in P. nasalis (Figs 47–48), pars pendula not visible.
Description. Male holotype (Figs 39–48). Cephalothorax brown, eye field slightly darker (Fig. 39). Abdomen dark-grey, with pale patches. Spinnerets grey. Clypeus brown; chelicerae lighter (Fig. 42). Maxillae and labium brown (Fig. 43); sternum dirty-brown; venter grey (Fig. 40). First legs light-brown; others lighter, with dark rings. Leg formula: 1-4-2-3. Palp as in Figs 44–48.
