Material examined (N=5). 1m, 3f, 07/VI/2000, 13°52’37”S / 38°57’11”W (MZUESC #63).

Distribution. Western Atlantic – from North Carolina to Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Antilles, and Brazil (Fernando de Noronha, and from Pará to São Paulo) (Melo 1996).

Ecological notes. On mud, sand, shell, rock, and coral bottoms. From shallow waters to 28 m, exceptionally to 200 m (Melo 1996).
