Distribution. Western Atlantic – Bermuda, Florida, Gulf of Mexico, Central America, Antilles, northern South America, Guyanas, and Brazil (Fernando de Noronha, and from Maranhão to São Paulo) (Coelho & Ramos-Porto 1980; Coelho & Ramos-Porto 1998b).
