Material examined (N=40). 11m, 4f, 13/VI/2004, St. 0 7 (MZUESC #673) .

Distribution. Western Atlantic – Gulf of Mexico, Antilles, northern South America, and Brazil (from Pernambuco to Rio Grande do Sul), Uruguay, and Argentina (Melo 1999).

Ecological notes. On sand and mud bottoms, from shallow waters to 60 m (Melo 1999).
