Distribution. Western Atlantic – Bermuda, Florida, Antilles, Colombia, and Brazil (from Pará to Rio de Janeiro) (Melo 1996; Barros et al. 1997a).

Ecological notes. Under rocks, in estuaries, bays, and channels. It can be found in areas affected by pollution (Melo 1996).
