TYPE LOCALITY: " Malacca ", but no holotype. Van Weers (1976) designated a neotype from "Runuk Tanjong." Malaysia .

DISTRIBUTION: Borneo, Sumatra, Malaya.

SYNONYMS: guentheri, lipura, macrotis.

COMMENTS: Medway (1977: 135) considered lipura a distinct species, but did not mention Van Weers (1976).
