Type locality. R. clathrata Philippi, 1844 described from Napoli (Italy).

Remarks. Replacement name for Rissoa clathrata Philippi, 1844 non Gray in King, 1827 nec Grateloup, 1828 Recorded by MolluscaBase (2018) as Alvania hispidula (Monterosato, 1884) .
