Type locality. Described from coasts of Africa (Tunisia).

Remarks. Settepassi (1985) figured two syntypes from “C. di Barberia” as Fusinus (Fusinus) rusticulus (Monterosato, 1879) . Recorded by MolluscaBase (2018) as Fusinus rusticulus (Monterosato, 1880) .
