Type locality. Described from Mediterranean Sea.
Remarks. Detailed discussion of this species and its type material can be found in Oliverio & Tringali (2001: 124, figs 1a–b; 125, figs 12a–b, 13–15; 126, figs 20–22, 24–25), who also stressed the distinction from Ringicula auriculata (Ménard de la Groye, 1811), on protoconch and teleoconch characters. Recorded by MolluscaBase (2018) as Ringicula conformis Monterosato, 1877 .
