Type locality. Coasts of Tripolitania (Libya) and Gulf of Gabès (Tunisia), Mahon (Minorca).

Remarks. Recorded by MolluscaBase (2018) as taxon inquirendum. The types belong to Donax trunculus Linnaeus, 1758 [new synonymy].
