Ecology.
Exclusively found in deeper soft sediment habitats outside coral reef habitats, where it exhibits an endo-benthic substrate preference. Depth 14-20 m.
Distribution.
Across the Indo-Pacific including Mozambique ( TibiriƧƔ et al. 2017), India (Ramakrishna et al. 2010), Indonesia, Australia, and the Solomon Islands (Gosliner et al. 2008). First documented from the Gulf of Thailand by Mehrotra and Scott (2016).
