Conostigmus Dahlbom, 1858

Type species: Conostigmus alutaceus (Thomson, 1858)

Diagnosis. Male flagellomeres symmetrical and cylindrical. POL less than OOL. Wings present, macropterous or brachypterous. Posterior end of notauli always adjacent to transscutal articulation; Anteromedian projection of the metanoto—propodeo—metapecto—mesopectal complex present (not bifurcated) or absent. Male parossiculi independent or fused, and each parossiculus with gonostipes not fused. Sternaulus present or absent.
