Ctenomys coyhaiquensis Kelt and Gallardo 1994, J. Mammal., 75: 344.

Type Locality: Chile, Prov. General Carrera, about 2 km S Chile Chico and 1 km W Chile Chico aerodromo (46 o 33’S, 71 o 46’W) .

Vernacular Names: Coyhaique Tuco-tuco.

Distribution: Known from type locality and Prov. Coyhaique, 4.5 km SE Coyhaique Alto (Chile).

Discussion: Karyotype has 2n=28 and FN=44.
