Domecia hispida Eydoux & Souleyet, 1842

Material examined. Two males (ICMyL MAZ 9059A) and one female (ICMyL MAZ 9059B) from Islas Marietas, and two males (ICMyL MAZ 9061) from Pichilinguillo.

Remarks. This species is symbiotic with corals of the genus Pocillopora and has a circumtropical distribution (Hendrickx et al. 2005). In the Gulf of California, D. hispida was abundant on corals at Los Islotes (Pereyra 1998). In the Huatulco region the species was recorded by Ramírez-Luna et al. (2002) and some records were done in the Ixtapa region (see Pereyra 1998).We found this species at Pichilinguillo and Islas Marietas, which are new locations in the Mexican tropical Pacific.
