COLL. / No. 19850’ [printed + handwritten], ‘Pres by / Com Inst Ent / B M 1972-2’ [printed], ‘ Orius (O.) / bifilarus sp. n. / M.S.K. Ghauri det. 1972’ [handwritten + printed] (BMNH) .

Distribution in India. Punjab: Jalandhar (GHAURI 1972a); Uttar Pradesh (VEER 1984).

General distribution. Pakistan (GHAURI 1972a), China (Hunan, Sichuan, Yunnan) (ZHENG & BU 1990, BU & ZHENG 2001), Nepal (PÉRICART 1996).

Biology. The species was found on number of plant species, reported to feed on mites, thrips and aphids, namely Aphis gossypi Glover, 1877 and Thrips flavus Schrank, 1776 (GHAURI 1972a, VEER 1984).
