Notes.

Mezia comprises 15 currently accepted species (eight threatened species; Suppl. material 1) of lianas endemic to the rainforests of the Amazon and Atlantic rainforest biomes in South America (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela) and Panama, Central America (POWO 2024).
