Notes.

Caucanthus comprises only two currently accepted species (no threatened species; Suppl. material 1) of shrubs or lianas endemic to seasonally dry tropical forests of east Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Somalia, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe) and the Arabic Peninsula (Saudi Arabia and Yemen; POWO 2024).
