Cernotina aruma sp. nov.
Figs. 13–16
Description. Male. Length of each forewing 2.7–3.0 mm. General color, in alcohol, pale brown; head and thorax with golden setae, antennae light yellow, legs pale brown with dark brown setae, wings light brown with dark setae. Male genitalia. Sternum IX short with deep U-shaped incision in anterior margin (Fig. 15). Tergum X membranous, divided mesally into 2 broad lobes covered by long setae (Figs. 13, 14). Preanal appendages with dorsolateral lobes short, broad basally, subtriangular laterally, bearing very long setae (Figs. 13, 14); and with ventromesal lobes simple, short and rod-like, each bearing stout apical spine surrounded by short, dark setae (Figs. 13, 14). Inferior appendages elongate, apically darkened; each with basodorsal lobe fingershaped, strongly sclerotized, with apex curved inward, and bearing three short spine-like setae on internal surface (Figs. 13, 15). Phallus tubular, short, with dorsoapical area depressed; internally, with 2 dark spines posteriorly, and phallicata sclerite formed by set of 3 pieces anteriorly (Fig. 16).
Remarks. This species is not clearly related to any other species described in the genus. Cernotina aruma sp. nov. has a ventromesal lobe of each preanal appendage similar to that of C. compressa and C. odonta sp. nov., in that it is simple, bearing a stout apical spine. However, C. pesae can be easily distinguished by the presence of a dorsolateral lobe on each preanal appendage; and by the inferior appendages, each with its basodorsal lobe finger-shaped, apically curved inward, and bearing three spine-like setae on the internal surface.
